Born and bred Bangorian Laura Symon has been the Children’s Worker at Ballyholme Parish since September 2013. She is a firm believer that the strongest associations with faith are often rooted in childhood, and so she is passionate about ensuring that every child associates church with safety, love and family.
She is also a core writer of the DDYC Sunday School Curriculum “Jigsaw” and member of the Down and Dromore Children’s Working Group and Foundations (Church of Ireland 20–30s ministry) Organising Committee.
Laura is newly married to Laurie, whom you may recognize from local coffee joint Baylands. When she’s not at church, you’re most likely to find her in a coffee shop with her nose buried in a book. At church, she can be found in Children’s Church each Sunday morning, in Praise Kids on Wednesdays at 4.30, and in the Parish office Monday–Wednesday. She also loves visiting families, so if you’d like her to call over to see you, just give her a ring!
