Our Services

There is a wide variety of services at Ballyholme Parish – something for everyone we hope, from Prayer Book Communion to informal and innovative worship.

There are also plenty of opportunities to take part in the worship through reading, praying or helping with Children’s Church, Creche or Youth Fellowship.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served at Cafe Church and on other Sundays between the 10.00 and 11.30 services in the Parish Centre.

8.30 am Holy Communion

A quiet reflective service, based on the Prayer Book service, and including a Thought for the Day.

10.00 am Good News at 10

10 o'clock is our service for all ages, including creche facilities for the little ones. The format varies from week to week during the month –

First Sunday – Cafe Church – we meet with a cup of tea/coffee and traybake around tables in the hall – or outside in the car park if it's warm and dry. There are activities for kids and adults, singing and praying, and a talk suitable for children.

Second and Fourth Sundays – an informal service with a modern liturgy. After the first song and children's talk the young people head up to the hall for Children's Church and Youth Fellowship.

Third Sunday – there's more of a focus on praying and worshipping God together, led by the band. Children's Church and Youth Fellowship for the younger members.

Fifth Sunday – a service of Wholeness and Healing, seeking God's healing and peace in our lives and those whom we care for. Children's Church and Youth Fellowship as usual.

11.30 am Morning Prayer

This is a more traditional choir-led Anglican service, based around the Prayer Book, with Holy Communion on the second Sunday of the month.

6.30 pm Evening Service

Second Sunday in the month only. We meet with other Christians in the Ballyholme area, in a different church each month.

Summer Schedule

During the summer (July and August) we combine our 10 am and 11.30 am services, and have a joint service at 10.30, enabling all to have fellowship together.

7.30 pm – joint service with other churches in Ballyholme

Holy Communion

We celebrate Holy Communion:

• 8.30 am weekly
• 10 am on the fourth Sunday of each month
• 11.30 am on the second Sunday of each month
• during the week – 10.30 am – Wednesdays in the Kajiado Room, Parish Centre: a weekly Service of Holy Communion and Prayers for the sick (except for July and August)

Coffee and tea are served in the Parish Centre between the two main morning services, and after the Wednesday morning service. Everyone is encouraged to stay and share the craic.
